Ninety wedding guests.  That’s a lot of iced biscuit. At least I’m only doing the chocolate ones.

I thought my trusty KitchenAid was going to give up under the strain (it happened to me once with a Nigella chocolate cake and a Braun Multiquick – to be fair it really was the wrong tool for the job).  It did me proud but it really was one of those ‘don’t try this at home kids’ moments and next time (?!) I will do it in two batches.

The actual icing turned into a bit of a saga involving a drive to a 24 hour Tesco, a delay to proceedings due to (my) illness and the groom having a crash course in biscuit-icing to take my place (and doing a fabulous job at it), but the less said about all that the better.
